Inspired by Empire magazine, I made my own list of the sexiest characters. But it is so hard to choose, so I decided to make it in the limit of one year.
P.S. Those characters are in no particular order.
1. Captain Jack Sparrow
Film: "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"
Yes, Johnny Depp still has it. His pirate is one of the most memorable, sly, and funny characters of the decade. And, of course, I like his hair and make-up. If someone says it makes him less manly, I will laugh, because he is more manly than half of todays' Hollywood.
2. Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto
Film: "X-Men: First Class"
Michael Fassbender played a few memorable characters in 2011, but I choose his young version of the great villain. Why? He is handsome, powerful, a bit mysterious. Thanks to him I wasn't missing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in this X-men film.
3. Jamie Rellis
Film: "Friends with Benefits"
There were a few similar films about friendship and sex this year, but this one I enjoyed the most, mostly because of Mila Kunis. She is smart, independent and beautiful, and her Jamie Rellis was the same. I'm glad that this Ukrainian girl makes her dreams come true.
P.S. I bet many men were jealous of Justin Timberlake, while they were watching "Friends with Benefits".
4. Marilyn Monroe
Film: "My Week with Marilyn"
Marilyn was a sex symbol, and she is still one of the most beautiful and charismatic women of all times, so she totally deserves to be included in my list. Michelle Williams is a good actress and she perfectly channeled the inner beauty of miss Monroe, which always made her so special.
5. Driver
Film: "Drive"
This film is one of my favourite of the previous year. Ryan Gosling shocked me again, because he played his part very well. We don't know the real name of his character, but I admire the choice he made. If "Drive" had another final, I probably wouldn't include its main character here. Yes, it is incredibly sexy when a man saves a woman.
Who are your top-5 sexiest characters of the previous film year? Leave your list in comments below.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (2003) - Captain Jack Sparrow's memorable quotes
Yes, I love this character portrayed by talented Johnny Depp. I'm sure that without him "Pirates of the Caribbean" couldn't become as popular as movie is now. And without him the last movie wouldn't become so successful (it's already got $812,827,494!). His character is comic, arrogant, selfish and ready to do everything for his own good even his friends can die because of him. But still, Captain Jack Sparrow is a true pirate. Here are my favorite quotes by him from the first movie of the trilogy.
Jack Sparrow: "Well, then, I confess, it is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out. "
Norrington:Well, well... Jack Sparrow, isn't it?
Jack Sparrow: Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please, sir.
Norrington: Well, I don't see your ship...Captain.
Jack Sparrow: I'm in the market as it were.
Norrington: "No additional shot nor powder. A compass that doesn't point north. And I half expected it to be made of wood. You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Jack Sparrow: "But you have heard of me."
Jack Sparrow: "You seem somewhat familiar. Have I threatened you before?"
Jack Sparrow: “Gentlemen, my lady. You will always remember this as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow.”
Jack Sparrow: "Worry about your own fortunes, gentlemen. The deepest circle of hell is reserved for betrayers and mutineers."
Jack Sparrow: "I know those cannons. It's the Pearl. "
Man in Jail: "The Black Pearl? I've heard stories. She's been preying on ships and settlements for near ten years. Never leaves any survivors. "
Jack Sparrow: "No survivors? Then where do the stories come from, I wonder?"
Jack Sparrow: "The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can’t do. For instance, you can accept that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can’t. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you’ll have to square with that some day. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can’t bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?"
Jack Sparrow: "Put it away, son. It's not worth you getting beat again."
Will Turner: "You didn't beat me. you ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight, I'd killed you."
Jack Sparrow: "Then that's not much incentive for me to fight fair, then, is it?"
Jack Sparrow: "Son...I'm Captain Jack Sparrow. Savvy?"
Jack Sparrow: "One question about your business, boy, or there's no use going: This girl... how far are you willing to go to save her? "
Will Turner: "I'd die for her. "
Jack Sparrow: "Oh good. No worries then."
Jack Sparrow: "That's the second time I've had to watch that man sail away with my ship."
Jack Sparrow: "When I get the Pearl back, I'm gonna teach it to the whole crew, and we'll sing it all the time."
Jack Sparrow: "Stop blowing holes in my ship!"
Will Turner: 'Where's Elizabeth?"
Jack Sparrow: "She's safe, just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we're all men of our word really except for Elizabeth who is, in fact, a woman."
Jack Sparrow: "A wedding! I love weddings...drinks all around! I know. "Clap him in irons," right?"
Jack Sparrow: "Elizabeth. It would never have worked out between us, darling."

Top-5 movies of the week - 25.05 - 01.06
After the Cannes Film Festival is over, I have more time for writing about other movies and events. I'm returning to my recently started topic. One of the hottest releases of this spring is already in our cinemas and this movie has big chances to get a great box office, but also there is a couple of movies, which can be interesting for you.
1. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"
Of course, this movie is the most expected of spring season. I'm a fan of the trilogy, but since the cast has changed, I didn't think that the 4th movie can be as interesting and impressive as first ones. Still there are Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush, who saved this movie. I didn't watch it in 3D, but it is made visually very good, with nice views, special effects and costumes. The one thing, which I really dislike in it, is the love story between priest and mermaid. Actors Sam Claflin and Astrid Bergés-Frisbey are beautiful, but not so talented. They are a horrible replacement of Orlando Bloom and Keira Nightly.

2. "The Tree of Life"
The Palme d'Or winner Terrence Malick releases his new movie world wide. I'll watch it just on June 9 and can't wait for it. I'm interested in, because I love when Brad plays not "macho man" characters, but a real man, a father. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his hard adult years as he tries to settle a complicated relationship with his father. Sean creates very depressed person Jack, who finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith.

3. "Kung Fu Panda 2"
Family comedy about a panda, who becomes a hero, was successful, so it's not a surprise that creators made a sequel. Now the main character must save kung fu. He with his four friends starts a journey, which will be full of dangerous and funny moments. I've seen video about how it was made, that's why I can tell you - everybody, especially actors, did a great job creating such a nice animation movie. I'm sure they will be proud to show it to their kids.

4. "Priest"
The latest movie about vampires with Paul Bettany tells us a story about how legendary priest fights the evil and tries to safe his niece. It is made in not so good 3D, but it is worth watching because of atmosphere, leading actor, music by composer Christopher Young and this beastly vampires.

5. "Bridesmaids"
I was choosing between this melodrama and the 2nd "Hangover", so I prefer this movie. It has a crazy cast. Every woman is different from others, but they can get wild together and have an unforgettable trip. And as one critic from 'New Yorker' said: "The movie is uneven and lurching, but it provides many laughs."
