"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. Special effects are going to be impressive, because the creators have used a technology, developed for "Avatar". The main parts are played by James Franco, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Tom Felton and Andy Serkis (as an ape Caesar). This adventure is directed by Rupert Wyatt ("The Escapist") and written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver.

2."Bellflower"
Best friends Woodrow and Aiden spend all of their free time building MAD MAX-inspired flamethrowers and muscle cars in preparation for a global apocalypse. But when Woodrow meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love, he and Aiden quickly integrate into a new group of friends, setting off on a journey of love and hate, betrayal, infidelity, and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies. (Official movie website) It was presented at the Sundance festival. Directed by Evan Glodell, who also played the main part along with young actors Jessie Wiseman and Tyler Dawson. Plus, I really liked the soundtrack.

3."Cold Fish" (2010)

4."Magic Trip"
Alex Gibney and Alison Ellwood’s MAGIC TRIP is a freewheeling portrait of Ken Kesey and the Merry Prankster’s fabled road trip across America in the legendary Magic Bus. In 1964, Ken Kesey, the famed author of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” set off on a legendary, LSD-fuelled cross-country road trip to the New York World’s Fair. He was joined by “The Merry Band of Pranksters,” a renegade group of counterculture truth-seekers, including Neal Cassady, the American icon immortalized in Kerouac’s “On the Road,” and the driver and painter of the psychedelic Magic Bus. Kesey and the Pranksters intended to make a documentary about their trip, shooting footage on 16MM, but the film was never finished and the footage has remained virtually unseen. With MAGIC TRIP, Gibney and Ellwood were given unprecedented access to this raw footage by the Kesey family. 5."The Change-Up"
This meaningless comedy about switching the bodies can become the worst ever made. It got just 25% of positive reviews, so don't expect anything from it. Its cast isn't great, except Olivia Wilde, but she doesn't play the main part. Ryan Reynolds is a macho and Jason Bateman is unhappy father with two little kids. The director is David Dobkin ("I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", "Shanghai Knights", "Fred Claus"). But if you will go to the cinema with a group of good friends and with purpose to laugh of these meaningless jokes, it can be not that bad.
