Oscar 2012 - WINNERS

The ceremony was wonderful. I haven't slept all night watching it and I was very exited about it.

Billy Crystal was the perfect host. I liked how Emma Stone, Chris Rock, Angelina Jolie, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis presented the nominees. And Robert Downey Jr. did great, when he said, "I'm filming a documentary called 'The Presenter'..."

It was a triumph of "The Artist". Three main awards now are coming to France. Yay! "Hugo", which had 11 nominations, won 5 Oscars in technical nominations.

I hate that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" was gracefully ignored. One of the highest rated films of the year, which kids and adults loved, didn't get any Oscar.

Christopher Plummer asked his Oscar, "you are only two years older than me, where have you been all my life?" And he became the oldest person who won the Oscar ever. Octavia Spencer got her statuette and was very emotional accepting it, which made me think about how I would act, if I won one myself. I just faint on the stage and that would be all. I liked Alexander Payne's speech, but why didn't Woody Allen show up? Michel Hazanavicius thanked even the dog Uggie. And  Meryl Streep didn't forget to joke about her being nominated for so many years.

Sacha Baron Cohen said, "I wanted to make something I'd like to watch. Happens that I like watch sick stuff." He disappointed me, when he dispelled 'ashes' over the red carpet. It was sick.

James Earl Jones, Oprah Winfrey and makeup artist Dick Smith got their honorary Oscars for working so hard for us. A tribute to those who passed away was very touching. I broke, when I saw Whitney Houston. So many talented people are gone, but I hope many talented people were born this year.

Many of the winners were predicted by me (and many people around the world), but I think it is a good thing. We knew who was great and the Academy Awards just confirmed it.

"The Avengers" (2012) - Extended Super Bowl Spot

American football fans are always exited about the annual Super Bowl, but movie fans are not less intrigued. Of course, the latter ones aren't guessing who the winner will be, but what new footage from upcoming films will be shown in the Super Bowl commercials.

"The Avengers" is going to be one of the future blockbusters, and of course it got another promo. Again there are many explosions, terror, huge lightning strike and one unforgettable team of modern superheroes.

"Mr.Stark..."
"Captain?"

The more I see videos from "The Avengers", the more I think that Iron Man (aka Tony Stark) and Captain America will have a hilarious relationship. If I'm right, we'll discover on May 4.

Directed and written by Joss Whedon.
Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner.

Quote of the day

I'm watching recorded Golden Globes 2012, and it was a great show. I heard many jokes and honest speeches, but one man said very wise words I want to share with you.

When Robert Downey Jr. was presenting Michel Hazanavicius' "The Artist", he said:

"The story proves that has the world changes for better or for worse; it is always love that triumphs."

"Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" London premiere

I watched the premiere of "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" online yesterday and I enjoyed it! It was small and cozy; all actors and Guy Ritchie came, smiled and were interviewed by Edith Bowman.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law seem to become good friends. Robert was in a great mood, he danced a little (to entertain us or to get warmer). But I have one question for Jude Law. I'm just curious is there any tradition which makes actors stop shaving after they made a big film? Every time some actor finished filming, he starts appearing with a huge beard. Weird.

The weather was cold, men were wearing suits, scarves and coats, but Noomi Rapace, who played the main female part in this film, was in a strapless gown. I hope she didn't become an ice sculpture. She talked about how she was preparing for her Gypsy role, planning even to live in a camp, but she hadn't enough time for this. Noomi Rapace enjoyed working with such talented men and now she considers herself as "one of the boys."

Jared Harris doesn't look like a villain at all and seems to be a very cheerful person. But I hope his Professor Moriarty is persuasive.

Stephen Fry called Guy Ritchie "an extraordinary filmmaker." He portrayed Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's brother. Can't wait to see what his role in this story is.

"Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" (2011) - Funny clip

New clip from Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" makes me even more exited about its upcoming release.

I like how Jude Law says: "Oh, How I've Missed You Holmes!" Of course, Sherlock pretends he had plenty of things to do without his dearest companion, but we know he missed him too. And I missed them both.

There is one interesting scene, which lasts 1 or 2 seconds, where Dr. Watson didn't notice Holmes. Can you say where he is before you watch this clip? It shouldn't be difficult.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry and Noomi Rapace.

Release dates - December 16 (UK, USA), December 22 (Germany), December 23 (Ukraine)

And I'm going to watch London premiere online this evening, are you too?

"Sherlock Holmes 2" (2011) - Second trailer

Brand new "A Game of Shadows" trailer has been revealed and it looks great. The Trio (aka Holmes, Watson and dangerously beautiful Ms. Adler) are in big trouble again. There are new villain, new secrets, new shootings and Sherlock Holmes has a new lipstick. Costumes, special effects and gothic decorations are incredible and created a dramatic atmosphere. And I'm glad that this film will be also full of witty jokes and sarcasm of the main characters.

Favourite line:
- What do you see?
- Everything. That is my curse.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Jared Harris (son of talented actor Richard Harris), Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry and Noomi Rapace.
Directed by Guy Ritchie.

Release dates - December 16, 2011 (UK, USA), December 22, 2011 (Germany)

"The Avengers" (2012) - New trailer

Finally, we know how the legendary group of comic books heroes will look on the big screen. I think that it is a bit hilarious that 6 powerful superheroes will fight one villain, who already appeared in "Thor" and is called Loki. As I expected this first trailer has showed us nothing new, except for a few seconds of green and angry Hulk. The rest of it hasn't changed at all. Thor is still throwing his hammer, Captain America hasn't understand that he isn't the main character, Black Widow looks beautiful, Hawkeye isn't impressive or talkative, Tony Stark is being charmingly selfish, Hulk looks scared and poor Nick Fury tries to make a good team.

My favorite line from this trailer is said by Tony Stark, who introduced himself to Captain America: "Genius. Billionaire. Playboy. Philanthropist." And his joke about Hulk was funny too.

Also I liked the music. It's a song "We're In This Together" by Nine Inch Nails.

Directed and written by Joss Whedon.
Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner.

Release date - May 4, 2012 (UK, USA)

"The Avengers" (2012) - Trailer preview

Entertainment Tonight presented a sneak peek of the upcoming trailer, which will finally show us how the movie will look like. Every week we get some new promo material of "The Avengers", so I can tell that Marvel knows how to make the audience extremely exited. They created an incredible fever before the first trailer's release. They've gone even further and released a very short preview to remind us about its trailer's importance. I'm not too exited about it, because I don't like all the main characters (I'm going to watch it just because of Robert Downey Jr. and his Tony Stark/Iron Man). And I don't think a new video will be something brilliant, but I'm curious to see what Joss Whedon is creating right now.

Don't forget - the first trailer will be released today.
